Arrive in Lijiang, where our driver will transfer you to the designated hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may stroll through the Lijiang Old Town, discovering local snacks and hidden corners. In the evening, enjoy a Naxi-style hearth dinner, where traditional cuisine is shared around a warm fire. During the welcome dinner, your trip leader will hold a briefing session for the upcoming trek. We recommend arriving in Lijiang before 18:30 to ensure a smooth check-in and participation in the welcome dinner.

After breakfast, drive about 1.5 hours to the starting point of the Tiger Leaping Gorge trek. Your guide will brief you on safety and hiking notes before a warm-up, then the hike begins with a steep uphill climb followed by a long traverse along the mountain trail. As the path gradually opens up, sweeping views reveal the distant Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Around noon, arrive at Naxi Family Guesthouse for lunch and a short rest.

In the afternoon, tackle the famous “28 Bends,” a challenging ascent of about 1.5 hours that leads to the highest point of the trail. From here, you can enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the 13 peaks of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain towering above the deep gorge. The dramatic contrast of soaring peaks and sheer cliffs creates an awe-inspiring scene.

Continue along the trail, passing Tea Horse Guesthouse, before reaching a mid-point lodge of the High Trail by evening. Settle into your guesthouse and unwind on the viewing terrace with tea, photos, and conversations against the backdrop of the gorge

After breakfast at the guesthouse, set out along the trail while admiring the magnificent views of the gorge. Today’s route includes several steep traverses across the mountainside, requiring extra caution. After a series of winding turns, you’ll reach Guanyin Waterfall, cascading down the cliffs like a silver chain—an awe-inspiring sight.

Continue onward past Guanyin Temple, then descend along the stone path to Zhang’s Guesthouse. After a short rest, hike further downhill to Middle Tiger Leaping Rock, where the roaring river narrows dramatically between sheer cliffs. Take time to explore and capture photos before returning to Zhang’s Guesthouse to check in for the night.

Around 8:00 a.m., depart from Middle Tiger Leaping Gorge by vehicle for a 3.5-hour drive to the trekking trailhead. After arrival, your guide will lead a warm-up session before starting the day’s hike. The route is entirely downhill, covering approximately 8 km and taking about 4–5 hours to reach Shangliu Qing Village. Upon arrival, the guide will arrange accommodation for the group. Stay overnight at Liuqing Village Guesthouse or a similar lodging, with basic conditions and no private bathroom or shower.

At 8:00 a.m., depart from Shangliu Qing Village and begin the today’s trek. Along the way, you’ll pass Taizi Pass, the 90-metre tunnel, the 60-metre tunnel, and Yanshuangluo Village before finally reaching Stone Town. The total hiking distance is approximately 15 km. The section from Shangliu Qing Village to Yanshuangluo is mostly downhill; from there, the trail ascends for a while before descending again toward Stone Town Guesthouse.

After breakfast at Stone Town Guesthouse, your guide will lead the group on today’s trek—considered the most beautiful and breathtaking day of the journey. The trail, about 9 km in total, is mainly downhill with a few short ascents. Departing from Shitoucheng, follow the ancient Tea Horse Road toward Yanke Village, walking through traditional hamlets before continuing to Yanke Pier. Along the way, you’ll come into close contact with the mighty Jinsha River, whose roaring currents cut through the deep gorge. From Yanke Pier, take a boat across the river to Ahai Pier, where a vehicle will be waiting to transfer you to Lijiang. Arrival is expected around 5:00 p.m., after which the tour concludes and guests are free to depart.
